JENSEN QUITS STADIO BULGARI POST
Parma manager Oliver Jensen has today resigned from his position as manager after many years in the job.
The Parma board were quick to pay tribute to their long-serving manager, declaring that whilst they were sad to see Oliver leave, his announcement had given an opportunity to celebrate one of the club’s most faithful servants.
Parma Calcio 1931 legend Oliver Jensen was born in Kristiansund on the 1st October 1980. Jensen, a four-time winner of the Seria A with Parma Calcio 1913 will surely prove hard to replace considering his wealth of experience and previous track record. he enjoyed great success at Parma, lifting 4 league titles and winning 11 cup competitions.
Jensen’s departure from parma has sparked a mass exodus within the club’s backroom team with seven staff members deciding to walk following the news.
Ancelotti of Barcelona, Conte of Manchester United and Jesus of Paris St Germain are among the favourites to take over.
Upon his departure, Jensen thanked the fans for always supporting him and the team, the staff for everything they did behind the scenes and to Chairman Lizhang Jiang for giving him the opportunity to manage such a great football team.
A LOOK BACK AT HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED
If you have been following along on my journey at Parma, thank you for sticking around. I’ve enjoyed my time there and proud of what we achieved, despite missing out on the Champions League. I’m looking forward to seeing how the new manager does with the foundations that I have left.
The Parma I took over is very different from the one I left behind. We were valued at just €15.47m while we sat in Serie B following bankruptcy just a few years earlier. Now valued at over €1bn, I’ve made the owners very rich indeed.
Our reputation increased from national to worldwide, becoming one of the top four clubs in the world. our facilities have become as good as they can be.
I will forever be haunted by the lack of European success, but for me, success at Parma has been taking this small club to the pinnacle of football. It is a testament to our recruitment and development that the top clubs in the world are after our players each and every season.
It wasn’t an easy decision to leave, but the time was right.
Thank you for reading, and until next time, arrivederci.
